Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your SecondSoil account and the personal data associated with it. SecondSoil is owned and operated by WordWorx B.V.

How to request deletion

You can initiate deletion of your account from within the SecondSoil app.

You can also request deletion outside the app:

1. Email hello@secondsoil.app, preferably from the email address connected to your SecondSoil account.
2. Use the subject line "Account deletion request".
3. Include enough information for us to identify your account, but do not send your password or payment-card details.

Verification and timing

To protect your account and personal data, we may ask you to verify your identity or confirm control of the account before completing the request.

We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month. The GDPR permits this period to be extended in certain circumstances, in which case we will inform you.

What will be deleted

After verification, we will delete or anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including your account profile, name, email address, saved preferences, favourite content and progress within the app, subject to the exceptions described below.

What may be retained

We may retain limited information where required or permitted for legal, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Financial records relating to subscriptions may be retained for 7 years where required by law.

Any retained information will be kept only for as long as necessary for the applicable purpose and will remain subject to appropriate safeguards.

Subscriptions must be cancelled separately

Deleting your SecondSoil account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

To prevent future renewals, manage or cancel the subscription through the platform used to purchase it. You will normally retain access until the end of the subscription period already paid for. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
